Olive oil
Cold first-press extra virgin, grown ecologically by smallholder farmers in the Reef Daraa region of Syria. Peppery, fresh and low in acidity — and every bottle supports the local families who grow it.
Hamwe Group Ltd sources olive oil from the Reef Daraa region of Syria, avocado oil from Rwanda and sesame oil from Sudan — buying directly from hundreds of local smallholder farmers who grow ecologically, then handling the import, testing and UK distribution ourselves.
Our story
Hamwe Group Ltd works directly with hundreds of smallholder farmers in the Reef Daraa region of Syria, in Rwanda and in Sudan — buying olives, avocados and sesame grown using ecological, low-input farming methods that protect the soil, water and land they depend on.
Trading directly with these communities means more of the value of every harvest stays with the farmers who grow it, supporting local jobs and helping establish steady, long-term work in the regions we source from — not just a one-off sale to a middleman.
We then manage the import compliance, lab testing and UK warehousing ourselves, so the businesses we supply get consistent, traceable stock, and the farmers we work with get a reliable buyer season after season.
Our range
We're starting deliberately narrow — one exceptional, ecologically grown line in each category, bought directly from the farmers who produce it — before we widen the range.
Cold first-press extra virgin, grown ecologically by smallholder farmers in the Reef Daraa region of Syria. Peppery, fresh and low in acidity — and every bottle supports the local families who grow it.
Pressed from fruit grown ecologically by local farmers across Rwanda's hills. A high smoke point and a clean, buttery flavour make it a natural swap for veg oil in searing and roasting.
Grown ecologically by smallholder farmers in Sudan's sesame belt, a region renowned for the crop. Available toasted, for a deep nutty finish, or unrefined for a lighter, more neutral oil.
